☆V16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
V17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith ROM 1:15-17.
☆Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth (GAL 3:23-25)
5 For Moses describeth the 8righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them ROM 10:1-5.
8 ☆Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart 2 COR 3:12-15.
☆But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them 0which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake 2 COR 4:3-5.
☆Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
017 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [from the law of sin death ROM 8:1-3].
18 But we all, with open face 9beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord [2 COR 5:16-18; COL 1:20-22; TITUS 3:4-6] 2 COR 3:16-18.
□Jesus died satisfied the righteous requirement with his sacrifice bodily and abolished the OT (EPH 2:13-15);
Then with HIS sinless blood ratified the NT #Covenant (1 COR 11:24-26).
