□FAITH is to persuade, to believe, to obey [☆ vv25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel [1 COR 15:1-4], and the preaching of Jesus Christ [2 COR 4-6], according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began [1 COR 2:6-8], 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets [EPH 3:4-6], according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith ROM 16:25-27]:
□Belief is the *assent of the mind [ROM 7:24-8:1]* to the truth of what is declared by another, resting on his authority and veracity, without other evidence; the judgment that what another states or testifies is the truth….
ASSENT is the *act of the mind* in admitting, or agreeing to, the truth….
V13 In whom ye also *□trusted, after that ye *□heard the *word of truth*, the gospel of your salvation [ROM 1:15-17; 1 COR 15:1-4: in whom also after that ye □*believed [applied faith EPH 2:8-10], ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise [GAL 3:1-3; 4-6; 3:13-15] ■EPH 1:12-14,
